PKS - An Extraction Arm that is an excellent solution for capturing low flowing fumes and gases at the source, expelling it safely away from the users.

FUNCTION
The PKS extraction arm is modular and allows engineers and consultants to configure the extraction arm to suit their specific application or process.

Hoses can be customized to meet the specific requirements of the contaminants, including factors such as chemical resistance, temperature tolerance, pressure capacity, flexibility, and abrasion resistance.

The supporting structure and capture hood can be selected in either micro-polished stainless steel, zinc-coated steel, or powder-coated steel.

CONSTRUCTION
  • General: The extractor arms are built to industrial-grade standards, specifically engineered for the extraction of fumes, dust, mist, gases, and smoke. Constructed to endure the demanding conditions of these applications, they, when paired with the appropriate fans, effectively remove airborne pollutants in compliance with all relevant industrial ventilation standards.
  • Wall Bracket: Constructed from 6mm and 2.5mm steel, finished with a durable black baked-on enamel coating, the extractor arms are equipped with two integrated swivel bearing points for 360° continuous rotation. Additionally, they feature integrated duct connections and direct-mount fan connections for seamless installation and optimal functionality.
  • Internal Support: The support mechanism is constructed from a combination of 50 x 25mm and 22 x 22mm, 2.5mm steel tubing. Utilizing advanced "parallelogram" technology and three spring-assisted joints, this design ensures precise counterbalancing of both the inner and outer arms of the extractor for smooth and accurate operation.
  • Vertical Range of Motion: The 2-meter extraction arms have a vertical range of 2.5 meters below (90° below horizontal) and 1.5 meters above their respective mounting brackets (90° above horizontal).
  • The 3, 4, and 5 meter extraction arms shall have a vertical range of 3.5 meters below (90° below horizontal) and 2.5 meters above their mounting brackets (90° above horizontal).
  • Horizontal Range of Motion: The extraction arms have a horizontal radius of 2.0 and 3.0 meters respectively and are able to rotate continuously around their mounting brackets.
  • Hardware: All joints are provided with friction disks, "Belleville" washers and nylon insert locknuts. All parallelogram joints have been pre-assembled and tensioned by the factory
  • Hose: Round in construction, made of flameproof, double skin, fiberglass reinforced, and flexible PVC fabric resistant to UV radiation. Maximum operating temperature; 70° C.
  • Hood: The hood is constructed of 20ga, stamped steel, painted with a black, UV resistant, baked-on enamel paint. The hood comes with; an integrated damper with a positive seal (Optional on the 200mm extractors), ring handle, front handle, "Quick connect" flange and has a range of motion of 270° in all directions.
  • Hardware: The arm is supplied with all necessary hardware required for assembly and duct connection. Hardware for mounting the extractor to the wall or column is to be provided by the installing contractor or end-user.
