Function:

This system merges a space-saving hose reel drop with an articulating crane arm to provide point-of-use exhaust extraction in smaller workshops or low-clearance environments. The reel allows operators to easily extend or retract the hose as needed, enabling fast positioning of the nozzle or hood over vehicle exhaust outlets or other emission points. Once deployed, it immediately captures contaminants before they disperse into the workspace.

Available with either a motorized or spring-return hose reel, the system delivers dependable, one-person operation for both overhead and undercarriage exhaust capture. The articulating boom offers full mobility across the work zone and folds neatly against the wall when not in use, preserving valuable floor area.

The hose reel assembly is compatible with 4”, 5”, 6”, and 8” diameter hoses, allowing for flexible application in automotive, fleet maintenance, and light industrial environments. Capture devices, fans, and duct adapters can be configured to match the target contaminants, temperature ratings, and space constraints.

Construction:

The boom assembly is built from powder-coated and galvanized steel with ball-bearing pivot joints and integrated disc-brake friction locks at each articulation point for smooth, stable positioning. Each section provides 180° rotation for complete coverage of the workspace.

The hose reel is constructed from 10–18 gauge galvanized steel and can be equipped with either a 120V Centris motor or spring-retract mechanism. The motorized version draws 790 Watts at 6.6 Amps and delivers 12 full hose rotations. All reels are fitted with sealed bearings and laser-cut Teflon supports for long-term reliability and minimal maintenance. Hoses are steel-reinforced, temperature-rated, and available in various lengths and materials to suit the specific application.
