Function:

The IVEC E-Z Gate provides automatic, electronically controlled airflow management within central ventilation, dust collection, or fume extraction systems. Each gate operates through a high-torque, intelligent actuator that opens or closes the internal blade based on system demand or sensor input. When paired with IVEC Smart Controls, the gates dynamically balance airflow across the network, ensuring each workstation receives optimal suction while minimizing fan energy consumption. The gate’s precision-engineered blade and seal assembly eliminates pinching and air leakage, ensuring a reliable seal up to 100” W.C. The system can be mounted either horizontally or vertically and is compatible with both new and retrofit installations. Typical configurations and options include:

Construction:

Each E-Z Gate is precision-welded from heavy-gauge galvanized or stainless steel and fitted with a reinforced body to maintain seal integrity under high static pressures. The compact actuator housing contains an intelligent electric motor with positional feedback and thermal overload protection. All gates feature an M12 quick-connect interface and are available in multiple duct sizes, including 4"–24" diameters. The unit’s redesigned frame is 30% smaller and 10% lighter than earlier models, reducing installation load while doubling structural strength. Sealing surfaces use high-temperature-rated elastomers for long-term reliability in continuous-duty applications. The actuator carries a 5-year warranty for extended lifecycle confidence.
