AIRGOMIG Fume Extraction MIG Gun

AIRGOMIG Series (AGM3, AGM4, AGM5) — a professional-grade, air-cooled fume-extraction MIG gun family delivering 15–65% higher extraction airflow versus competing guns and engineered to help meet ACGIH, OSHA & CCOHS exposure limits (e.g., manganese = 0.02 mg/m³ in welder breathing zone). Designed for continuous industrial use, the three models (AGM3, AGM4, AGM5) cover 300A, 400A and 500A duty ranges while remaining 5–25% lighter than comparable guns for less operator fatigue and improved arc visibility.
FUNCTION
  • Overview: AIRGOMIG extracts fumes coaxially at the arc so welders no longer need to reposition external hoods or arms. This increases arc-on time and productivity on large or awkward workpieces while maintaining superior capture efficiency.
  • General function of each model:
    • AGM3 (300A) — suited for general-purpose steel and aluminum MIG work where a compact, high-extraction gun is needed.
    • AGM4 (400A) — a mid-range heavy-duty option for higher deposition and frequent use.
    • AGM5 (500A) — the high-duty option for continuous, demanding production and robotic/automated applications.
  • Configurations & common options:
    • Standard cable lengths: 12' and 15' (custom lengths available on request).
    • Swan neck angles: 45°, 45° long, 60°, 60° long for tight access or extended reach.
    • Nozzle choices: Copper or Zirconium-Copper in sizes ½", 5/8", ¾".
    • Connection interfaces: Euro, Power Pin (Miller), Power Pin (Lincoln) — compatible with virtually all feeders.
  • Main benefits summary: high extraction flow (reduces manganese/Cr(VI) exposure), ergonomic 360° swivel handle and ball-joint, narrow front end for better process view, reduced heat at the handle, robust consumables for long life, and broad wire/metal compatibility.
CONSTRUCTION
  • Handle & ergonomics: durable polymer handle with integrated 360° ball-joint swivel and three-position top vent for porosity control and multi-position welding comfort.
  • Neck & heat management: chrome-plated metallic outer neck tube for improved heat dissipation and dimensional stability.
  • Electrical & feed path: coaxial power cables with heavy-duty swaged copper connections; low-friction liners for reliable wire feeding (Teflon liner option for aluminum).
  • Extraction hose & fittings: crush- and heat-resistant vacuum hose sized for high flow; secure, high-conductivity copper alloy consumables for longer life and consistent arc stability.
  • Duty & build: engineered for high duty cycles (100% on CO2, 60% on mixed gas depending on model) and produced in Canada to industrial quality standards.
  • Protective options: aramid protection sleeves available (7' and 10') for added abrasion and heat resistance.

  • Neck angle & nozzle size: select swan neck angle and nozzle size that give proper access and capture for your joint geometry without impeding visibility.
  • Durability features: look for copper alloy consumables, chrome neck, and optional aramid sleeve if you operate in abrasive or high-heat environments.
  • Regulatory/compliance intent: if you need to meet manganese or Cr(VI) exposure limits, request documented test results (e.g., Group Gesfor/Pinchin data) for your specific welding parameters and positions.
