The IV-UGKS-C Series Cartridge Dust Collectors are high-efficiency, industrial-grade filtration systems designed to remove airborne particulates, smoke, and fine dust directly from process air streams. Each unit uses a vertically mounted cartridge array and reverse-pulse cleaning system to maintain consistent airflow and filtration performance. Engineered for airflows ranging from a few thousand up to tens of thousands of CFM, these collectors deliver continuous-duty operation with minimal maintenance. The system can be floor-mounted, suspended, or leg-supported, making it adaptable to nearly any industrial facility layout.
FUNCTION
CONSTRUCTION
KEY CRITERA
SUITABLE FOR
The IV-UGKS-C Series operates by pulling contaminated air into the upper cabinet chamber, distributing it evenly across vertically mounted filter cartridges. Particulate matter settles downward by gravity into a hopper or dust drawer, while clean air exits through a horizontal discharge duct. Each unit includes an automatic reverse-jet pulse cleaning system that periodically releases compressed air bursts through the cartridge cores, dislodging accumulated dust and maintaining filter efficiency.
This collector series supports a wide range of applications and materials, including fine metal, composite, and powder dusts. It is available with multiple installation options — floor-mounted with a dust drawer, suspended with a hopper and drum connection, or fully integrated with duct networks and IVEC intelligent controls for automated air management.
Main configuration and option highlights include:
- Integrated reverse-pulse filter cleaning (digital or sequential timer control)
- Side or top inlet with abrasive deflector plate
- 30-gallon accumulator tank for pulse system
- Optional HEPA or safety after-filter housings (95–99.97% efficiency)
- Explosion venting for combustible dust applications
- Drum lid kits (10-, 20-, or 55-gallon) for dust containment
- Silencer assemblies and sound-attenuating plenums
- Fire suppression and smoke detection packages
- Catwalk and access ladder meeting OSHA standards
- Custom color finishes available
CONSTRUCTION
The IV-UGKS-C is constructed from heavy-gauge welded steel and powder-coated for corrosion resistance. The vertical cartridge housing incorporates gasketed access doors for leak-free performance and quick filter changes. Each unit uses high-efficiency fire-retardant cartridge filters — available in 80/20 cellulose/polyester, wide-pleat, nanofiber, or spun-bond polyester media — depending on the dust characteristics.
Compressed-air manifolds (2" NPT connections) supply the pulse valves, with clean, dry air at 90–100 PSI required for reliable cleaning. Electrical components are configured for 208–230/460V, 3-phase, 60 Hz operation and include motor overload protection. Fan rotation and pulse-control sequencing are pre-wired for clockwise operation and automatic cleaning at differential pressure set points.
The modular design allows integration with hoppers, legs, or suspended frames using ¾" anchor bolts. Options include silenced exhaust plenums, after-filter housings, and explosion-relief vents. All components are accessible for inspection and maintenance.
