KEY CRITERA
SUITABLE FOR
The FumeVac ErgoBoom is a dedicated support system for source-capture welding guns, purpose-built to enhance productivity, safety, and comfort in semi-automatic welding operations. Mounted on a floor pedestal or optional caster cart, the boom suspends the fume gun overhead, keeping hoses and power cables elevated for smooth, unrestricted movement.
Its counterbalanced gas-strut mechanism enables easy, single-handed positioning, while the 360° swivel base allows the operator to reach every corner of the weld area without repositioning. The ErgoBoom reduces wear on consumables and cable assemblies while keeping the work zone clear of tripping hazards.
Main system configurations and options include:
- 6’ gas-strut balanced boom with Velcro gun straps
- 6’ swivel support post with floor pedestal
- 400A interconnect power cable assembly
- Optional wall-mount or caster cart configurations
- Optional wire feeder mounting platform (rear post mount)
- Custom boom lengths for various welding setups
- Compatible with FumeVac high-vacuum systems and ErgoMax guns
CONSTRUCTION
The FumeVac ErgoBoom features a robust steel frame with a powder-coated finish to ensure long-lasting durability in industrial environments. Heavy-duty gas struts counterbalance the weight of the welding gun and cables, allowing precise, stable height adjustment without mechanical locks or counterweights.
Its swivel post enables full 360° rotation, supported by industrial bearings for smooth motion and minimal maintenance. The included interconnect cable is rated for 400A continuous duty, ensuring reliable performance even in high-production welding environments. The modular base design accommodates floor mounting, wall brackets, or mobile caster configurations to fit any shop layout.
